 Entry Years 9-12

Applications for admission to these year groups should normally be made by 15 June each year. An application cannot be accepted if:
(i) the school will thereby exceed its enrolment number as determined by the Department of Education in Northern Ireland.

In considering applications for entry to any of these year groups the Governors will be looking for evidence of a level of academic attainment, potential and motivation which would, in their opinion, be sufficient to enable the girl to cope successfully with the range and pace of the education the school provides. The Admissions Committee will seek such evidence from the Principal of the applicant’s present school.

If there are more applicants than places available the Admissions Sub-Committee will place the applicants in rank order of academic ability using the available reports and any additional supporting information. The level of attainment reached in English, Mathematics and Science will be regarded as particularly important in assessing the applicant’s suitability for grammar school education.
