The school Library, situated in the Millennium building, is open from 8.30 am – 4.00 pm on Monday and Wednesday, from 8.30 – 3.45 pm on Tuesday and Thursday and from 8.30 am – 1.40 pm on Friday.  A period each week is set aside for Years 8 and 9 to spend in the Library to develop the habit of reading for pleasure and to hone their library skills.  Subject teachers also encourage their classes to use the resources to research individual and group projects and the Library is seen as an invaluable tool for promoting independent learning.  At break and lunchtimes its busy productive atmosphere is an indication of its popularity among the pupils.  A group of Pupil Librarians drawn from Year 9 led by the Library Prefect assist the Librarian at break and lunchtime with library duties.

Six computers are available for pupils’ use with three printers, colour as well as black and white. VCRs, audio-cassette players, CD players, DVD players and a laminator.  Both a black and white and a colour photocopier are also available for their use.

As well as providing a variety of books, CD ROMS, audio-cassettes, videos, DVDs, periodicals and newspapers, there is also a small stationery shop providing basic stationery needs.

Each term the Scholastic Book Club is facilitated through the Library and a Scholastic Book Fair takes place annually.  The commission from both of these provides extra books for the Library.
